Plus, I can never resist a good cornfield picture.. About halfway through our loop, we always stop at this bridge that’s been closed to cars for a number of years now.This road isn’t used much any more, so it’s more just a wide gravel path..

The bridge crosses over what we call “The Big Creek”..There isn’t much to the bridge any more.. We stand there and drink our water and look at the pretty countryside.Chris usually makes some smart alek comments.

You can’t really tell how annoying he’s being from our shadows in this picture, can you?.I’m pretty sure he was making fun of me for taking a million pictures of this boring old creek at this point.

This year we were a little more successful!.They’ve only actually been able to use it once, but still!

It’s so neat to have a real ice rink right on our property!.I have secret dreams of one day having our whole extended family out here for a big hockey tournament on our rink.. Of course, I’ll be the one inside make the hot chocolate for everyone for afterwards, but wouldn’t that just be perfect?.
